What we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Last updated: October 28, 2026
This policy explains what Fancy Animations collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. It is written for the person on the other side, not for a lawyer: if something here is unclear, write to john@fancybricks.co and we will explain it.
1. Who is responsible
Fancy Animations is run by John Diaz, a natural person and merchant domiciled in Colombia, trading as «Fancy». Contact: john@fancybricks.co. This is the address for anything in this policy, including the requests in section 6.
2. What we collect, and why
We only collect what the service needs to work. There is no advertising profile and nothing is sold.
| What | Why we have it | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| Your email address and name | To create your account, send your license and answer you | Lemon Squeezy and this website |
| Order and payment data | To sell you a license and issue the receipt. We never see or store your card | Lemon Squeezy |
| Your license key and its activations | To let the plugin check the license and to show you which sites use it. An activation records the domain of the site you activate, not its content | Lemon Squeezy and this website |
| Support messages | To answer your questions and keep the history of what we told you | This website: the support portal inside your account stores your tickets and replies in our own database, not in an outside help desk |
| Emails we send you | A copy of outgoing mail is kept so we can tell whether a license or a reset reached you | This website |
| Server and security logs | To keep the site up and block attacks. These include IP addresses | This website, through its security plugin |
What we do not collect
- We do not see your card number: the payment happens on Lemon Squeezy.
- The plugin, running on your own site, does not send us the content of your pages: the licence check sends the licence key and the domain, nothing else.
- Comments are closed on this site, so we do not collect comment data.
- We do not run website analytics at all: no Google Analytics, no tracking script, no advertising pixels, and no profile of you. We learn which pages are worth writing from Google Search Console, which reports searches and clicks in aggregate, never who you are.
3. The AI assistant and MCP
If you connect your own AI assistant to your site through MCP, that conversation happens **between you, your site and your assistant's provider**. We are not a party to it: we do not receive your prompts, your pages or your assistant's answers, and the plugin does not route anything through us. You use your own subscription.
The AI panel built into the plugin works the same way. You choose the provider — Anthropic, OpenAI or DeepSeek — and you enter your own API key, which is stored as a setting on your own WordPress site. It never reaches us, and your prompts go from your site straight to the provider you chose. What that provider does with them is covered by their policy, not by ours.
4. Who else processes your data
These are the companies that handle part of the service for us. Each has its own privacy policy.
- Lemon Squeezy — payments, invoicing, customer accounts and the license API.
- Hostinger — hosting and delivery of fancyanimations.com, and the mail server that sends your account, licence and support email (from john@fancybricks.co).
- GitHub — plugin updates are downloaded from a release; your site requests the file with its license key.
5. How long we keep it
- Account and licence data: while your licence exists. A lifetime licence means we keep it for as long as you hold it, because that is what makes the updates work.
- Orders and invoices: Lemon Squeezy issues and keeps them, as the merchant of record, under its own privacy policy. Closing your account here does not delete them there.
- Support messages: two years from the last reply, so we can look up what we told you.
- Email and security logs: ninety days. These are the shortest on purpose: they exist to debug a delivery or block an attack, not to build a history.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct, export or delete your data, and to stop using it. Write to john@fancybricks.co and we will answer within fifteen business days, the period set by Colombian data protection law (Ley 1581 de 2012).
One honest limit: deleting your account data also ends the licence checks, so the plugin on your sites will stop receiving updates. Your orders and invoices are kept by Lemon Squeezy, not by us.
If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio (Colombia) or to the data protection authority where you live.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change something that matters, we will say so on this page and, for anything significant, by email or in your account. The date at the top always tells you which version you are reading.
