Etch animations

Etch animations for EtchWP, from the same plugin

Etch animations work like the rest of Fancy Animations. Select an element, open its panel from Etch’s settings bar and choose how it moves. One license covers Etch, Bricks and the block editor.

Both arrive with the next release, included in your license like every update.

Keyframes inside a class

Etch puts a class’s CSS inside the class rule, where the browser ignores @keyframes. Fancy Animations now prints the keyframes each page uses where the browser reads them, live in the canvas too. It’s on by default.

Your AI assistant in Etch

Describe a section to your own AI assistant and it builds it in Etch, animations included. It works with an assistant that runs in a terminal and Etch’s AI Connector open in a tab.

Questions

Questions about Etch

  • Does one license cover Etch and Bricks?

Yes. One license covers Etch, Bricks and the block editor.

  • Are the templates available for Etch?

Not yet. The templates are built for Bricks, and Etch versions are planned. For ready-made Etch layouts and components today, I make Fancy Etch.

  • Does it work with Fancy Etch?

Yes. If Fancy Etch has its own Keyframes inside classes switch on, it keeps doing that job and Fancy Animations stays out of the way.

  • Can I see the motion while I build?

Yes, the canvas plays it. The eye button in Etch’s settings bar turns the preview off and on.
